Un PDF avec... des PNJ ?

Hidden deeds, secret victories, and desperate fights all come at a cost, and very few servants of powerful Patrons avoid injury for long. Some are lucky and may find their Patron provides them with access to medicae services denied to most citizens of the Imperium, while others might find their Patron a little too eager to ‘improve’ a shattered limb with a cold augmetic replacement.

Others are left to fend for themselves, expected to be present for duty with whatever wounds they received already taken care of. These unfortunates must submit themselves to the tender care of whatever medicae technicians they can afford, from dubious habway hacks to prestigious specialists in the biological arts.

Diagnostica Obscurus provides three fully fleshed-out NPCs, each a self-proclaimed expert medicae practitioner. Each has their own specialities, rates, and dubious bedside manner, as a detailed background, a bevvy of plot hooks, and more.

  • Noxia Vex, a back-alley sawbones with a clinic in the depths of Hive Rokarth, is willing to treat anyone with enough solars, from serial infractionists to inquisitorial acolytes looking to keep a low profile. For those without the solars, she has been known to exchange treatment for a favour to be called in at a later date, though most agree it is usually better to pay than be in her debt for long.
  • Karzinth Half-hand is one of the most promising medicae technicians to grace Asterion in years. With a skill for bionic replacements and attracting wealthy clients, Karzinth should be enjoying a quality of life few can only dream of. Nevertheless, he is a deeply paranoid man, haunted by a past he refuses to discuss.
  • Genetor Erudir Phi-VI is a Magos Biologis of superlative skill, capable of repairing almost any wound, his operating theatre a temple to the biological arts. Assigned to the Grand Docks of Harjus and sworn to serve House Karvonan, he nevertheless pursues his own interests at any opportunity.

Each NPC is a useful NPC to drop into an ongoing campaign, as player characters are notoriously prone to injury, but each is also suitable as a Patron and the starting point of a new campaign. Diagnostica Obscurus is packed with interesting plot hooks and mission ideas, making it the perfect addition to any Imperium Maledictum GM’s toolkit.
